Tiikeri

Product: Tiikeri is made from a pressed reclaimed sorghum stalk material that has been infused with a polymer using a proprietary infusion process. The process essentially transforms this decorative based composite material, into a highly durable surface product that can be used in a variety of high wear project applications. Due to Tiikeri's distinct decorative appearance, it can be used in a wide range of vertical applications as well.

Sustainability: The resulting highly durable Tiikeri product line is made up of over 50% sugar cane stalk, and is therefore considered a rapidly renwable resource material. The remaining 50% consists of an inert non-hazardous acrylic polymer. Due to the fact that the Tiikeri line is formaldahyde free and has such a high % of "rapidly renewable" material, it can contribute to LEED certification when used in green building projects. Like all the TorZo Surface products, Tiikeri is very fabrication friendly. Machining is easy using standard carbide based tooling and gluing can be done using a Titebond II adhesive, or a 2-part solid surface epoxy. In addition, all TorZo materials are compatable with most all lines of sustainable water based coatings that are on the market.
